But somehwhere we (shall I say ‘I’) continue to forget one person in midst of all – Saigal Saab !. I see a streak of Saigalsaab’s style of rendition in all the great singers mentioned hereinbefore. All have tried to imitate him during their formative years. Am I right ?.
As far as my little knowledge goes – even Rafisaab admitted it with all sincerity and humbleness. Kishoreda openly flaunted it and Mukeshsaab displayed it !. Yeh shayad sachh hai ki film/laghugayan/adhunik gayan ki gayaki ka neev shayad Kundan saab hi diya ho !. Can we accept that !?

I would just like to endorse what all have said in their comments and add this little piece -
No one displaced anybody – neither Rafisaab, neither Kishoreda, neither Mukeshsaab, neither Mannasaab, neither Talatsaab, neither Mahendrasaab or any other renowned singers/musicians for that matter.
It was just the time when each of them found thenselves relevant with the listeners, the trends set in by the socio-cultural times, the moods of the generation and their times-whether tranquil or turbulent. Each of these legends had a contribution of their own. But there is no denying that Rafisaab stood out and was relevant at all times; in fact he touched the lives of the people right from birth to grave !. Now isn’t that great !. Who else could describe a person – In birth, in childhood, in adolscence, in teen, the mature, the family man, the renunciation, the deliverance !. Who else could describe the pathetic state of mortal life – whether in poverty, whether in richness, whether in stupor, whether in insanity or in detachment !.
Rafisaab was always there – Omnipresent !. Somewhere he has touched our lives and continues to be even today !. How relevant he is !.
